West Roxbury will be down a bakery at the end of this week. BakerBaker (168 Spring St.) closes down tomorrow after four years in business, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The bakery’s owner, Fran Kolenik, posted the news of the closure on Facebook, thanking customers for being part of the business.
It is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement. Due to circumstances beyond our control, Bakerbaker will be closing its doors at the end of this week. It has been an amazing 4+ years and you our customers have been the best part -- those who have been with us since day one and those who have just discovered us.
The bakery specialized in pies, cakes, cupcakes, and cookies, and Kolenik also offered soups, salads, and sandwiches. A comment Kolenik left on Facebook indicates she may continue to make pies available for delivery.
