It made its return toward the end of August

A Beacon Hill restaurant has finally made a comeback, returning to business nearly a year after it was forced to close due to a fire, as Boston Restaurant Talk reports. Todd English’s Figs (42 Charles St.) is back in action, having reopened in late August, once again bringing its familiar menu of thin-crust pizzas and pasta to the Boston neighborhood.

A fire in early October 2016 prompted the restaurant’s closure, and while the Beacon Hill spot was closed, the Charlestown location of Figs provided delivery services to the Beacon Hill neighborhood, as previously reported.

The interior of the restaurant underwent a full remodel, as the Beacon Hill Times noted, and there are new tables, chairs, and kitchen appliances. Figs’ pizzas are notoriously “free-form,” not adhering to a more traditional round shape, and the restaurant also serves a variety of pastas, appetizers, soups, and salads.
