The Franklin Restaurant Group (of Tasty Burger, Franklin Cafe, and Citizen Public House fame) is on pace to open Our Fathers Delicatessen in Lower Allston by the end of the year. It will be located in the Continuum building at 196 North Harvard St., as previously reported.
The deli is going to be “two concepts under one roof,” a representative for the group told Eater via email: part deli/takeout spot and part full-service restaurant and bar. “The food menu on both sides is Jewish-influenced, and the bar will be the premier gin program in Boston — all the classic gin cocktails, updated variations on those, serious martinis, and a gin and vermouth list from all over the world.”
The interior will be heavily influenced by mid-century modern design. The restaurant will also feature a patio with seating and access to the bar.
This is yet another chapter in the sprucing up of Barry’s Corner, which just gained a Trader Joe’s (but recently lost a Stone Hearth Pizza). Stay tuned for updates as the opening approaches.
trust us.
