A massive bowling complex debuts at the end of the month in Seaport, featuring plenty of booze, arcade games, and comfort food. Boston’s second Kings location opens in the new Seaport Square complex at 60 Seaport Blvd. on October 30, with a grand celebration and a gift of free bowling for a year for the first 250 people to arrive on opening day.
Kings first opened in Back Bay in 2002 and has since expanded across the country, with three other locations in Massachusetts (Dedham, Lynnfield, and Burlington). This new location in Seaport will span 20,000 square feet, and its menu will feature familiar bowling fare and comfort food, ranging from Buffalo chicken wontons to Hawaiian pizza, a turkey bacon melt, burgers, and Nashville hot chicken. There will be appetizers, salads, wings, and pizzas as well, plus craft beer, specialty cocktails (including large-volume drinks to share), milkshakes, and soft drinks.
In addition to the 16 bowling lanes at the venue, there will be pool tables, shuffleboard, foosball, and air hockey, plus several other arcade games. On top of that, there will be a so-called “Draft Room,” which will take the form of a sports bar, with three 12-foot screens and additional televisions, more than 40 draft beers, and its own private bowling lanes, pool tables, and more.
Kings Seaport will open at 6 p.m. on October 30 and will then operate from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Sunday, though hours may change seasonally.
