A restaurant specializing in French and Cambodian cuisine has closed one of its two locations. Elephant Walk in Cambridge closed its doors indefinitely, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, leaving only one remaining location in the South End.
Elephant Walk first opened in Somerville’s Union Square in 1991 and in the course of the last 25 years has operated other locations in the Fenway area and in Waltham. The Fenway restaurant closed in October 2014, shortly before the South End restaurant opened. The Cambridge location, situated at 2067 Massachusetts Ave. just outside Porter Square, left details of the closure in its outgoing voicemail, indicating the restaurant is closed for renovations and will be greeting customers "with a new concept soon."
Eater has reached out to the restaurant for further details about the closure and will share any updates when they are made available.
