A Downtown Boston hotel is now home to a high-end scotch lounge filled with specialty distilled liquors, wine, and champagne. The Scotch Room at The Intercontinental Hotel, featuring Glenmorangie single malt scotches, is primed for an official unveiling at a private event today, Wednesday, January 25, to mark Burns Night, an annual international celebration honoring Scottish poet Robert Burns. When not booked for private events, the lounge is open to the public.

The Scotch Room, which is fully run by the Intercontinental Hotel, features a range of liquors from the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy family: Glenmorangie scotches, including Glenmorangie’s Ardbeg scotch brand, along with Belvedere cocktails, Hennessy Higher Marques, and Moët Hennessy wines and vintage champagnes.

The lounge will host events on Wednesdays throughout the year, including golf club fittings, suit tailoring, tastings, and a hand-rolled cigar event. In addition, the lounge can be booked for private events. The lounge operate alongside lobby bar hours, with variances depending on special events.
