A popular bar and nightclub in the Fenway neighborhood has closed down, leaving a vacancy on Landsdowne Street opposite Fenway Park. Tequila Rain has officially shut its doors after around 12 years in business, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
The club posted a message on its Facebook page letting patrons know about the closure:
Hey Boston! After over 12 years in business Tequila Rain is officially closing its doors. Thanks for joining us for all of the events & parties over the years. Stay tuned for new and exciting things coming this Spring.
Tequila Rain was situated at 3 Lansdowne St. near Jillian’s and Lucky Strike, as well as Loretta’s Last Call, Bill’s Bar, and the Landsdowne Pub. It was known for its dance vibes, for playing top 40 hits, and for serving some classic bar fare like burgers, quesadillas, salads, and wings.
