A new spot for Italian and Latin cuisine recently opened its doors in East Boston. Luna’s Restaurant made its debut on January 6, bringing a coffee bar, pasta, crostini, and more to the neighborhood.
Luna’s is located at 945 Saratoga St., and it offers a full menu from breakfast and brunch to dinner. Italian dishes are showcased alongside Latin American specialties, like grilled vegetables and yucca fries, as the proprietors of La Sanghita found when dining at the new restaurant.
For lunch, there is some lighter fare, like soups, salads, and grilled pizzettas, along with quesadillas, nachos, chicken wings, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps. On the dinner menu, Luna’s offers heartier pasta entrees like shrimp scampi, meatball spaghettoni, and clams linguine, plus dishes like steak, roasted chicken, and shrimp tacos. There are starters as well, including assorted crostini, calamari, and risotto balls, and Luna’s also has a kids’ menu available.
The restaurant’s coffee bar opens at 7 a.m. with both hot and iced espresso drinks, Columbian coffee, affogatos, and other specialty beverages. To complement the coffee offerings, there is a selection of dessert, including tiramisu, chocolate cheesecake, apple galette, and fudge lava cake.
Luna’s Restaurant is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
