A Holbrook restaurant with a vast selection of beer has quickly opened a second location west of Boston. The Brook Kitchen & Tap officially opened over the weekend in Maynard (51 Main St. (Rt. 62)), just two months after opening in Holbrook (200 S. Franklin St. (Rt. 37)). As Boston Restaurant Talk notes, both restaurants are located within former Halfway Cafe spaces. (Halfway Cafe remains open in Dedham, Watertown, Marlborough, and Canton.)
The restaurant’s chef and partner Eric Bolduc oversees the menu of hearty American dishes, which includes assorted appetizers, entrees, sides, and more. Menu items include chicken wings, clam chowder, burgers, sandwiches, wood-grilled pizzas, salads, and loaded mac and cheese. The “Tap” part of the equation consists of a lengthy list of craft beer offerings, with plenty of local breweries represented.
The Brook Kitchen & Tap has a private function area and an open layout with a bar and hi-def televisions. The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
