A longtime Allston barbecue spot will close its doors this week, shortly after shutting down its newer outpost in Mission Hill. SoulFire, located at 182 Harvard Ave., will have its last day Friday, according to Vanyaland.

SoulFire’s 737 Huntington Ave. restaurant shut down within the last few weeks, as previously reported, and though it initially looked as though the Allston restaurant would remain open, that is not the case. The restaurant has reportedly been sold and will be turned into a new concept, possibly Korean, according to Vanyaland. The Allston spot is SoulFire’s original location; it opened in 2006 before expanding to Mission Hill in 2012.

Owner Wyeth Lynch serves up a mix of chicken, baby back and spare ribs, pork shoulder, brisket, and more, all smoked over hickory wood. Get in for a final barbecue fix before Friday’s closure.
