A local barbecue spot has shut down its restaurant in Mission Hill. SoulFire is no longer open at 737 Huntington Ave., though its older location in Allston remains open, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
A Chowhound user posted that the Mission Hill restaurant closed for vacation around the holidays but later had papered over the windows. That location of SoulFire had opened in July of 2012, as previously reported. Eater has reached out to owner Wyeth Lynch for further details on the restaurant’s closure.
SoulFire specializes in barbecued meats like brined chicken, smoked baby back and spare ribs, pork shoulder, and brisket. There are plenty of appetizers and sides as well, including mac and cheese, wings, corn dogs, pickles, potato salad, corn bread, and more.
