The end of the summer has brought with it the end of road for some restaurants around Boston. At the end of the month, Allston’s Refuge Cafe will close for good. The cafe/restaurant/bar on the corner of Harvard and Brighton Avenues — in prime college student territory — made the announcement on Facebook to outcries from its fans.

Hey Everyone, I have some sad news for all you caffeine addicts. this will be the last month Refuge Cafe will be open. When September ends so will Refuge, so wake up this month and come on in for your last Allston sunrise.

The cafe first opened in 2011, replacing Allston Cafe, as The Boston Globe reported.

Up on the North Shore, A Mano Italian Kitchen (formerly 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar) closed its doors, just 11 months after debuting a new concept and fresh renovations, Boston Restaurant Talk reported. A Mano specialized in handmade pastas, pizzas, and other classic Italian entrees.

Finally, Dorchester’s Sunrise Vietnamese Restaurant has shuttered at 1157 Dorchester Ave., making way for Nhu Lan, another Vietnamese restaurant located next door, to expand into the space, BRT reported.
