After more than a year of absence, Unchained Pizza will finally return to serving specialty pies south of Boston, but it will do so in a different location. Unchained’s original Quincy location closed in February 2015 following damage from the epic winter storms, and while that restaurant gets rebuilt, the pizza spot’s owner John Magraw will focus his attentions on the new Dorchester spot.

Months of work went into the new location, which is finally ready to open after having passed all of its inspections. Unchained will officially unchain the doors of its space at 960 William T. Morrissey Blvd. on Tuesday, September 13, according to an update posted on its Facebook page.

The pizza place will have VIP grand opening parties within the next few days, and customers are invited to sign up for the restaurant’s email list by today to secure an invite. Expect to see the restaurant’s classic and specialty pies, including gluten-free options. As for Quincy, "it looks like little — if anything — has changed since the last update," the Facebook post reads. Stay tuned for updates on when that location will reopen.
