A long-anticipated dumpling house opened its doors in Jamaica Plain this weekend after some chef shuffling, menu changing, and even a taste testing. Pink Samurai made its debut on Centre Street nearly a year after its initial planned opening, according to Jamaica Plain News.

The journey to this point has been wrought with change: the restaurant’s original chef, Matt Cunningham (Strip-T's, UpStairs on the Square, The Sinclair, Farmhouse pop-ups), left the project, as previously reported. According to the restaurant, Dana Hill will serve as executive chef and Bob Botchie will be executive sous chef.

In addition to dumplings, Pink Samurai will serve bao, spare ribs, crab rangoon, and more, along with cold pressed juices, beer, and sake, a representative of the restaurant told Eater.
