UNION SQUARE — Bottles are now getting uncorked at Juliet. The restaurant from Josh Lewin and Katrina Jazayeri has landed a liquor license and released its debut wine list, with beer and cocktails coming soon. Offerings are available by the glass or the bottle. For now, wine is available at dinner only.

SOUTH END — Wine Riot’s next event may be up on a roof top, but the theme screams "down under." The event tomorrow showcases Australian wines and music from Aussie native Mark Wilkinson. Between 6 and 8 p.m., there will be wine tastings and full pours for purchase. Admission is $10, and the event will be held at the Troy Boston roof top.

NORTH END — Fundraising to help Italy recover from an August earthquake continues on October 23 with a wine-centric event called "Boston Stands with Italy" at the DCR Steriti Rink on the North End Waterfront. The event will be put on by The Filmark Hospitality Group and the Italian Consulate and will include plenty of Italian wine, food, and a silent auction. Tickets are available at bostonstandswithitaly.org.

ONLINE — Just in case you can’t get enough of wine and want to learn more, check out our new Wine Words series, featuring discussions with local wine professionals. The first two installments highlight a North Shore destination and an East Cambridge hidden gem.
