A new spot for wood-fired pizza grandly opened on the North Shore last week, expanding its presence that already reaches from Massachusetts up to Maine. Flatbread Company has officially opened its new Salem eatery, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, with a full lineup of pizzas, salads, and more to go around.
The chain first started in Amesbury, MA in 1998 and has since grown to include locations all around New England, including nearby locations in Somerville’s Davis Square, Bedford, and Canton.
Flatbread specializes in wood-fired pizzas that source ingredients from local farms and producers. The pizzas are customizable, and there are a number of pre-fixed topping options as well. Gluten-free crusts and vegan options are also available at each Flatbread location.
This new pizza spot joins a handful of other new restaurants in Salem. Bit Bar, a hybrid bar/arcade, is up and running, along with a new Italian spot, Trattoria Orsini. Notch Brewing Co. also opened its new brewery in Salem over the summer.
