A fast-casual pizza chain that originated in Nantucket and now has a handful of locations around Greater Boston will continue to grow, thanks to a massive investment from a local venture capital firm. Oath Craft Pizza raked in a $4.5 million contribution from the firm, Breakaway, and other investors, and it will put those funds towards fueling growth in the New York City and Washington, DC markets.
Since its founding in 2015, Oath Craft Pizza has raised $9 million in funding. This new round brought with it a new board member for the company: Len Schlesinger, who previously served as president of Babson College and is a Baker Foundation Professor at the Harvard Business School.
Oath Craft specializes in pizzas cooked in just 90 seconds, and they come in full- or half-pie sizes, with a wide variety of toppings. The restaurant also serves salads, breakfast options, and dessert pizzas. Aside from the original in Nantucket, there are existing Oath Craft locations in Chestnut Hill, Somerville’s Davis Square, and a kiosk in South Station.
