A Maine food truck is opening the doors to its first brick-and-mortar restaurant. Mainely Burgers has done quick work of prepping the space at 704 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge’s Central Square (previously the Four Burgers space), and it will softly open today with a whole bunch of burgers, with plans for a grand opening soon.
Brothers and owners Jack and Max Barber launched the concept in 2012 and gained a loyal following for their food truck in Maine. They have documented progress on the restaurant on Facebook, sharing photos as wooden fixtures were installed, along with up-close photos of a wall mural from Adam Danielson, which tells the origin story of Mainely Burgers and its journey to opening a restaurant in Cambridge.
The restaurant has seating for 40 people and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
