A Canada-based specialty tea shop with a number of locations in the Greater Boston area is adding a new store to the mix. DavidsTea will open its first-ever Cambridge location in Harvard Square, moving into 39 JFK St.

DavidsTea was founded in Canada in 2008 and opened its first location in Massachusetts in 2012. The company now has nine locations around the state. DavidsTea stocks more than 150 kinds of teas from around the world, which customers can order hot or iced, including some exotic options like chocolate chili chai, blueberry jam, apple strudel, and jolly jellybean. The shop also has loose-leaf teas available for customers to purchase and make for themselves, and it sells assorted tea paraphernalia, including mugs and iced tea pitchers.

The company is working towards a September opening in Harvard Square, but an exact date has not yet been set.
