An Arlington eatery bid farewell to patrons this weekend after announcing its final day in business on its Facebook page. The Madrona Tree closed on July 31 and will not look for an alternate space in which to reopen, Boston Restaurant Talk reported.
The restaurant, situated in Arlington Center at 315 Broadway, had been around since 2011 and offered catered boxed lunches in addition to its in-house service. "We are sorry to report we have no plans of relocation at this point," the restaurant posted on its Facebook page. "I know many of you have been asking and just want to be honest."
The Madrona Tree served a menu full of American and Lebanese items made with locally sourced ingredients; there was an assortment of burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, falafels and hummus wraps, a beef gyro, and sides ranging from mac and cheese to seasonal vegetables.
