Clover is expanding its Boston proper footprint with two new brick-and-mortar locations this summer, the first of which opened on Friday in the Financial District, kicking off business for what will be considered a flagship location for Clover. The Cambridge-based business operates restaurants and food trucks throughout Cambridge, Boston, and beyond.

Clover’s newest location is at 160 Federal St., around the corner from Dewey Square, where it opened its first food truck in 2010. The building used to be an old shoe factory, as previously reported, and it features a pop-up space inside. Plus, there are various CSA pickups available in the new restaurant from assorted farms in the area.

With 88 seats in 2,300 square feet, the Financial District Clover has plenty of room to accommodate the downtown lunch rush. On Wednesday, July 6 the new location will hold a grand opening "pay what you want" day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise money for The Food Project "to help get Food Project CSAs to folks in areas of town without reliable access to fresh food," according to Clover’s website.

CloverFIN, as this location is called, is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
