A bakery near Franklin Park in Jamaica Plain will soon close, ending the flow of fluffy French pastries, cakes, and treats from its doors. Canto 6 Bakery & Cafe will stick around until the end of August before closing up shop, Jamaica Plain News reported.

An employee reached at the bakery Friday morning confirmed the closure and noted the space is now up for rent. The 3346 Washington St. bakery makes its goods from scratch, using local ingredients and shifting menu items seasonally. It offers a full lineup of croissants, breakfast pastries, cookies, pies, and cakes. Some items include scones and biscuits, pinwheels filled with raspberry jam, cranberry oatmeal bars, brown butter apple galettes, and carrot cake, plus much more.

Neighbors will have to snag these treats while they can. The bakery will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until it closes at the end of next month.
