A Plymouth cafe will celebrate the grand opening of its second location on August 5. Café Roo opened recently at The Pinehills Village Green, about 10 miles away from its original location in Cordage Park (which is also home to Café Roo's sibling restaurant and bar, RooBar). The Roo venues are owned by husband-and-wife duo Michael Clinton and Kristin Mackin, who are residents of The Pinehills and saw the need for a coffee shop there.
The grand opening deals will include half-off breakfast sandwiches, $5 lunch specials, gift card giveaways, an invent-your-own-sandwich contest, and travel mug giveaways for the first 50 guests. The new cafe seats 36 people and includes outdoor seating for warm months and a gas fireplace for the winter.
Café Roo serves breakfast and lunch, sourcing ingredients locally where possible, including Speedwell Coffee Roasters (Plymouth), Zeppy’s Bagel Boy Bagels (Lawrence), and more. The menu includes items like short rib hash, eggs Benedict, stuffed French toast, assorted pastries, coffee cake, and banana bread. There are also salads and assorted sandwiches, as well as parfaits and fruit smoothies.
The cafe is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
