A Maine-based food truck has its sights set on opening its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Central Square. Mainely Burgers will soon take over the former Four Burgers space at 704 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge, bringing its specialty burgers to the neighborhood.

Mainely Burgers has been around for five years and operates three trucks — two burger trucks and an ice cream truck — in Maine. Brothers and owners Jack and Max Barber plan to bring the Cambridge concept to life this summer.

The menu at Mainely features beef burgers topped with everything from cheddar cheese, bacon, sauteed onions, sliced apple, and maple mayo (on a burger called the "Mainah") to barbecue sauce and pickles. There are also veggie burgers, French fries, and assorted sides.

Mainely worked with Caroll Design Studio for the new restaurant, bringing in Maine-inspired features like reclaimed wood tables and countertops. There will also be a mural of the Mainely Burgers food truck. The restaurant will seat 40 people and will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
