There’s a new source for dumplings in Allston, courtesy of the same people behind a storied Chinatown restaurant, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Dumpling Kingdom officially opened at 137 Harvard Ave. last week, the new sibling of two popular Chinese- and Taiwanese-style restaurants — Dumpling Cafe in Chinatown and Dumpling Palace in Cambridge.
At last Wednesday's grand opening, Dumpling Kingdom celebrated the occasion with an elaborate lion dance through the restaurant, and the owner shared photos of the event on the restaurant’s Yelp page. Dumpling Kingdom understandably has a wide selection of dumplings, including vegetable options as well as duck, pork, chicken, beef, and seafood.
There are also appetizers like chicken wings, scallion pancakes, and meatballs, in addition to the wide range of soups, house specialties, fried rice, noodles, and much more. Dumpling Kingdom is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
