Brookline will see a smokehouse shuffle as a new restaurant from the team behind Carrie Nation, Scholars, and Emmet’s prepares to open near the Brookline Village MBTA stop. Magnolia Smokehouse is moving into the Village Smokehouse space at 6 Harvard Sq., bringing with it piles of ribs, brisket, and wings.
The space sports a new Magnolia Smokehouse sign, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, and the restaurant has a website and social media profiles up and running. Its Facebook page indicates it is "coming soon."
The menu features starters, soups, salads, entrees, and desserts, including everything from tamales to green tomato gazpacho, fajitas, sweet tea brined fried chicken, andouille sausage, and crispy skin salmon. For dessert, there’s rhubarb pie, peanut butter pie, and mixed berry cobbler. Magnolia will also apparently offer catering services and takeout.
The hours for Magnolia Smokehouse will be 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, and 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Sunday. Eater has reached out for more updates and will post new information when it becomes available.
