A bar and restaurant known for showcasing stellar DJs in Cambridgeport permanently closed after its owners were unsuccessful in renewing the lease on the space, according to The Boston Globe. River Gods, which had been around for 15 years, announced the closure on Monday, thanking years’ worth of customers for their loyalty and support.
Owner Jackie Linnane shared the news in a letter posted on the bar’s social media and website, and she sent an email to DJs who play at River Gods. The email message read, in part, "Surreal… You all have been an intrinsic part of the River Gods family, for which, I will be eternally grateful. I cannot express how I feel… So many good times, so many memories… such great music… 15 years…" Vanyaland reported.
Well known for its music scene, River Gods served a range of pub fare, including burgers, tacos, sandwiches, pasta, salad, and more.
