A shared culinary workspace in Somerville recently launched a new arm of the business inside a newly transformed space on Washington Street. Foundation Kitchen’s second facility received its licensing and opened at the end of June, according to proprietor Ciaran Nagle.
Foundation Kitchen took over a former restaurant space at 3 Washington St., down the street from the existing Foundation Kitchen space at 121 Washington St., which has reached full capacity. The new space has a front section designed for demonstrations, as well as two kitchen areas with all the necessary cooking equipment and plenty of storage, as previously reported.
Foundation Kitchen isn’t stopping here, either. Another location will launch at 6 Station St. in Brookline, and applications for that space are already being accepted.
Cafe Luna’s catering arm is the first official member, and the others set to inhabit the 3 Washington St. space include health food caterer Grace Brinton, Food and Figure, Rhythm n Wraps, Zinneken’s Food Truck, Cook Night, Agadine, Room 4 Food, and Himalaya Food & Beverage LLC.
