A new Italian restaurant has officially opened in Boston's Seaport District and is ready to feed pizza and seafood pasta to the neighborhood. Sapóre Ristorante + Bar replaced M.C. Spiedo, as Boston Restaurant Talk reported, and offers a modern spin on classic Italian dishes like lobster carbonara and cauliflower pizza.
The restaurant, located inside the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, pulling seasonal elements of New England cuisine into its Italian menu.
Breakfast features such inspirations as Jonah crab cake Benedict, a lobster and asparagus omelette, maple-pepper crusted salmon, and seasonal fruit. For lunch, Sapóre has a range of sandwiches and panini, plus pasta, pizza, soup, salad, and appetizers. Dinner includes decadent pasta dishes such as veal and pork bolognese and lamb agnolotti, as well as oysters, cheese and charcuterie, pizzas, and hearty entrees like whole grilled branzino and hangar steak.
The beverage menu for Sapóre includes craft cocktails that feature house-made bitters, draft and bottled or canned beers, and a large selection of Italian and domestic wines. The restaurant is open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch hours are Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 12-2 p.m. Sapóre serves dinner Monday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
