Starting on June 12, WuBurger Gourmet in Inman Square will set aside its regular food menu each Sunday, instead taking up a special menu of hot fried chicken. Throughout the summer, Nashville-style hot chicken will command center stage and guests will get to chose from three different sauces while cutting the heat with boozy milkshakes and beers.

Owners Deepak Diwan and Kal Gullapalli said this was a bit of a passion project for them and a way to give customers a taste of a type of food they love, but one that is not often seen in the Northeast.

The restaurant will open at noon, serving plates upon plates of chicken until supplies run out. There will be a choice between a dark meat plate for $12 and a white meat plate for $13, which can be served with any of the three sauces: a mild sweet and savory honey butter sauce, a house hot sauce that is cayenne forward and combines smoky, sweet, and spicy flavors, and what they're calling "Melt Your Face Off," which "hurts so good" and is made with ghost peppers and served with gloves.

Coleslaw and potato salad will come alongside each chicken plate, and the restaurant's full beverage menu will be available every Sunday. WuBurger has also partnered with Jack's Abby Craft Lagers to pair beers with each hot sauce and will host a collaboration party on June 19 featuring giveaways, pairings, and other activities.
