A beacon of beautiful cakes and sugary treats has arrived on Newbury Street. Lady M Cake Boutique — which has locations in New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, and Hong Kong — opened its first Boston location on June 24 and is now serving green tea cakes and decadent chocolate creations.
Lady M has no seating, but the shop offers slices and a selection of eight whole cakes to go. Common cakes include the famous mille crêpes cakes (stacked crepes), chocolate, and strawberry shortcake. Word of the store's arrival in Boston first surfaced in May of 2015, and the boutique actually popped up in Chinatown last December, making whole cakes available for order around the holidays.
The store is located at 304 Newbury St. and is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is temporarily closed on Mondays, but it will eventually open seven days a week.
