A new restaurant is already slated to take the place of a just-closed hot pot and sushi spot in Somerville's Davis Square, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Yumi first opened in November 2015, taking over the space at 263 Elm St. where a Pinkberry used to be, but it recently closed up shop.
A number of Davis Square LiveJournal users reported the closure. A new sign is posted in the window advertising a forthcoming restaurant specializing in "all natural sushi, Japanese cuisine and grill," one user noted. The name of the restaurant was not listed on the flyer, though it did say "coming soon" in summer 2016.
Based on the flyer, expect to see everything from bento boxes to ramen, as well as the increasingly trendy sushi burrito — a burrito-sized sushi roll. Stay tuned for updates on this forthcoming restaurant, and please hit up the tipline if you know of any additional information.
