A chain restaurant known for chest-baring and kilt-wearing servers is getting ready to open its newest location in Billerica. Tilted Kilt, the self-described "Best Looking Sports Pub You've Ever Seen," is now hiring kitchen staff, according to a post on Craigslist, because without food to serve, the restaurant's "kilt girls" will have nothing to do.
The restaurant previously announced an open casting call for the kilt girls, who wear a uniform consisting of kilts and plaid bras half-covered by skimpy tops, leading the chain to be known as the "Scottish Hooters." Founded in Las Vegas and headquartered in Arizona, Tilted Kilt has more than 100 locations, with another potentially coming to Massachusetts and taking over the former Copperfield's location in Fenway, as previously reported.
Massachusetts has been fickle with regards to such "breastaurants" — moves to open a Tilted Kilt in Quincy were quashed, and Dedham residents officially rejected a proposal for a Hooters to open in the former Summer Shack location along Providence Highway, although Hooters is appealing the decision.
