A new restaurant in Medford has opened, serving hot pot and all-you-can-eat barbecue to the neighborhood, Boston Restaurant Talk reported. This is the first Massachusetts location for the Sura BBQ, which has two other locations in Rhode Island in Providence and Johnston. Sura took over the space of the former Chung Ki Wa restaurant at 27 Riverside Ave.
The restaurant has booth and table seating for guests who can partake in hot pot dining or sample the extensive barbecue options. There are two options for the all-you-can-eat barbecue that include items like prime brisket, marinated thin beef, steamed rice, scallion pancakes, and more.
Early Yelp reviews suggested an early bout of slow service but an overall excitement to have a new option for all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue in the Boston area. Sura BBQ accommodates walk-ins and takes reservations, in addition to offering catering and takeout. It is open Monday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
