Come July 1, Bay Staters can delight in the joys of both coffee and rock and roll in the same place when Joey Kramer’s Rockin’ & Roastin’ Cafe finally opens its doors in North Attleboro. The drummer for Aerosmith is expanding his coffee empire, which already consists of a cafe and restaurant in Maine and a full lineup of organic coffees.
The 551B South Washington St. cafe is Kramer’s first brick-and-mortar location in Massachusetts, and he's celebrating the occasion by serving as a guest DJ on the classic rock station 100.7FM WZLX, so look out for "DJ Kramedog" during the morning hours from June 29 to July 1. Kramer co-owns the venture with partners Ron Mann and Frank Cimler, as previously reported.
The 1,500-square-foot Rockin’ & Roastin’ Cafe will be decked out in rock and roll paraphernalia — including items from a recent Aerosmith tour — and it will have a custom sign that features the Rockin’ & Roastin’ dragon. Inside the cafe, there will be couch and table seating, and there will be a seasonal patio outside. Aside from the Rockin’ & Roastin’ brand coffees, all of which are USDA certified organic, the cafe will serve pastries like coffee cake, danishes, muffins, and more, plus breakfast sandwiches.
