A pizza place endorsed by LeBron James opens tomorrow near CambridgeSide Galleria, bringing customizable pies to the people of Cambridge at blazing speeds. The aptly named Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza specializes in fast-made crispy pizzas and will make its debut at 1 Canal Park.
The restaurant, which has locations across the country and in Canada, first started in California in 2012, as previously reported. Its fast-casual model invites customers to select their desired toppings from 36 available options and watch as the pizza gets built on a made-from-scratch dough base, then fired in an oven for three minutes and served nice and crisp.
For those who prefer pre-set options, there is a menu of signature pizzas that include meat lovers pizzas, veg-centric pies, and barbecue chicken, among others. To celebrate the opening, Blaze will offer free build-your-own pizzas to its Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram followers on Friday, June 3 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This Cambridge restaurant is the first of three planned Blaze locations for Greater Boston. Two other locations are slated for Boston: the Fenway area at 1282 Boylston St. and City Place at 123 Stuart St. Both could open this summer.
