Downtown Crossing welcomed a new restaurant last week, with Sweetgreen officially opening the first of five new locations it has planned for the Greater Boston area. The Washington D.C.-based chain started serving specialty salads to the neighborhood following a grand opening at 13 School St. on May 6.
The restaurant kicked off business at 10:30 a.m., with its spring menu in full swing. Proceeds from the day were donated to The Food Project. Sweetgreen joins a newly opened Clover on School Street.
