Everyone loves a good comeback story, and Brothers Restaurant & Deli is prepared to deliver just that to the Peabody community, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The longtime restaurant apparently has plans to takeover its former space, bringing its combination Greek-Italian-American menu back to the area.

Brothers Restaurant & Deli operated at 11 Main St. from 1987 to 1999, when its owners Ted Kougianos and Kary Andrinopoulos left Peabody Square after a rent dispute with the landlord of the building and opened New Brothers Deli in Danvers Square, the Salem News reported.

Now, Ted's son George will be in charge of the Peabody restaurant after signing a 20-year lease with the same landlord. The Kougianos family told the Salem News they planned to make everything the same as it used to be, from the setup of the kitchen and dining room to the menu — including a $9.99 lunch special.
