FoMu Premium Alternative Ice Cream and Cafe opened the doors of its latest shop last Friday, just in time for Memorial Day weekend. The vegan ice cream shop first debuted in Allston in 2012, later introducing an outpost in Jamaica Plain and a temporary pop-up in Inman Square. Its newest location at 655 Tremont St. will feature the same lineup of dairy-free ice creams.
The shop in the South End took over the space of a former art gallery and has plenty of room for the wide variety of flavors FoMu churns out, as previously reported. The shop's flavors range from traditional favorites like chocolate brownie, cookies and cream, and vanilla bean to sweet lavender, avocado, and bourbon maple walnut. Vegan baked goods are also available, as well as espresso beverages and tea.
In keeping with the space's gallery roots, FoMu will feature a rotating display of work by local artist Elana Mokady. The shop also offers lounge seating, a kids' nook, and free wifi, and it is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
