A restaurant that gained a strong following in Amherst will open its newest location in Worcester today at 4 p.m. Antonio's Pizza by the Slice Kitchen and Bar expands its award-winning pizza concept with this restaurant, which was built from the ground up at 268 Chandler St.

Antonio's first opened in Amherst in 1991 and now has three locations in Massachusetts, two in Rhode Island, one in College Station, Texas, and one in Champaign, Illinois. This new addition to Worcester will feature an expanded menu, craft beer, and a drive-through pickup window, as previously reported.

Pizza combos at Antonio's feature everything from black bean pizza with avocado to the meat craver's pizza, served with ground beef, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and extra cheese. Worcester will offer a wider selection of salads, appetizers, and pastas, and there will be 45 beers on tap.

The Worcester restaurant includes an open-concept kitchen and outdoor dining, plus a 45-foot bar. The drive-through window caters to call-ahead orders. After its opening day, the Worcester Antonio's will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
