A new pizza place in Malden is now officially open and serving take-out pies from a small storefront. Sillari's Pizza at 97 Medford St. is keeping its simple, offering customizable hand-tossed pizzas and two additional sides: chicken fingers and fries.
"Our plan is to create a humble, traditional style pizza shop to serve the neighborhood in which it exists. We do not intend to reinvent the pizza scene or create a destination restaurant," investor Michael Dulock previously told Eater.
The pizza mastery comes from chef Scott Sillari, a New England Culinary Institute grad, who has been posting previews of his pizza over the course of the last year as the shop has been coming together.
The menu consists of brick oven pizzas with various options. Starting with either a marinara or pesto base, customers can add a number of toppings, including pepperoni, sausage, anchovy, onion, olives, and more. Pricing is based on the number of toppings.
Sillari's is open Thursday through Monday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
