A popular Italian restaurant with locations in the North End and the South End will soon add a new restaurant in Melrose to its list. Giacomo's Ristorante, known for its tight quarters, wait-worthy meals, and cash-only status, opens its first suburban location on May 23, according to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page.
This new location will accept credit cards, unlike the other two restaurants, but it will not take reservations or allow call-ahead. Word of this expansion came about last July, when a sign with a logo matching that of the original Giacomo's location appeared in the storefront at 454 Main St., as previously reported.
This new location will serve the same menu as the others, according to its Facebook page. Giacomo's features traditional Italian dishes, including items like fresh fettuccine, ziti, or ravioli with assorted pasta sauces; chicken or veal marsala with prosciutto and mushrooms; mussels; scallops; and much more. It will seat 85, reports Melrose Patch.
Giacomo's Ristorante in Melrose will be open seven days a week starting at 4 p.m.
