A Connecticut-based burger chain with locations around the world has opened its sixth Massachusetts restaurant in Burlington, according to Boston Restaurant TalkWayback Burgers landed a location in the Burlington Mall at 75 Middlesex Turnpike.

Wayback first started out in Delaware in 1991 as "Jake's Hamburgers," but the restaurant later evolved into Wayback Burgers as the chain grew its menu and expanded its reach to more than 100 locations in the U.S. and abroad.

The restaurant joins Bobby's Burger Palace (Bobby Flay's fast-casual concept) as a source of burgers in the Burlington Mall. Wayback specializes in fast burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, and hot dogs, and the chain also serves milkshakes and assorted sides.

The restaurant is also home to the terrifying "Triple Triple" — a burger made with nine patties, nine slices of American cheese, lettuce, and tomato — and other pre-fab burgers. Guests are welcome to create their own meal and dive into a pile of chili cheese fries.

Other Wayback locations in Massachusetts can be found in Kingston, Saugus, Springfield, Stoughton, and Worcester.
