In the works since early 2015 (the year of juice), Juice Press will finally celebrate its grand opening at Chestnut Hill's The Street (33 Boylston St.) next Saturday, April 16. The six-year-old, New York-based juice shop chain has nearly 30 locations, but this is the first outside of the tri-state area. Founded by Marcus Antebi, a former competitive Thai boxer, Juice Press serves juice and smoothies, soups, salads, raw foods, vegan desserts, and infused water.
For opening weekend, April 16-17 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., five items will be available at a 50% discount. Plus, from April 18 and April 20, Boston Marathon runners who show an official medal can get one free juice or smoothie.
The Chestnut Hill location will serve a local exclusive smoothie, dubbed Commonhealth Ave., and 100% of its proceeds this spring will be donated to a One Fund charity.
In other recent juice news, New York-based chain Tbaar has just touched down in Brookline, Mother Juice is expanding to Back Bay this summer, Squeeze Juice Co. has multiple new locations coming soon, and Energize is about to open in Brighton.
