A storied space in Salem will get a new life as an Italian restaurant, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Orsini will open at 26 Congress St., where Grapevine operated for more than 15 years. The restaurant will debut sometime this spring, featuring an Italian-inspired menu, as the Salem News reported.

Grapevine's original owners sold the restaurant in 2012, and the new owners expanded the space to include a patio. It closed in early 2015, and new owners came into the picture. William Gateman (who is also behind Pasha Entertainment and restaurants like Trattoria Newbury and Abby Lane) and his partners bought the restaurant last year and have received the city's approval for an all-alcohol license transfer.

Gateman told the Salem News they were still waiting on the state's approval and hoped to open as soon as possible. The restaurant will reportedly bring in some of the former Grapevine staff, and the space will accommodate 90 inside and an additional 90 on the seasonal patio.
