When San Bellino stopped peddling coffee from his pedal-able caffeine station last fall to focus his efforts on a brick-and-mortar Gracenote Coffee store in Boston's Leather District, The Coffee Trike was left without an operator.
But that's no longer the case thanks to Brad Pillen, who kicked off the trike's next era of business this month in its new location at Boston Common, Boston Magazine reported.
Pillen is a member of the Boston Cyclists Union who sits on the board of directors for CommonWheels, and he snapped at the chance to purchase and operate The Coffee Trike. Pillen has opted for a new location at Park and Tremont Streets, but he will still serve beans from Gracenote Coffee Roasters, as Bellino did.
The Trike is around from about 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Pillen will also be bringing the truck to the South End Open Market every other Sunday, starting May 1.
