Union Square Donuts keeps expanding via partnerships, satellite locations, and more — see the timeline below for a brief history — and now a new permanent location is in the works a few blocks from Coolidge Corner, according to Boston Restaurant Talk and The Brookline TAB.
As reported last week, Wulf's Fish Market is closing its 90-year-old storefront at 409 Harvard St. in order to focus on a new wholesale facility at Boston Fish Pier in the Seaport District, and this will be the newest home for Somerville-based Union Square Donuts. The team will start working on the space June 1 and plans to open as soon as possible. "We've been wanting to open more shops," co-owner Josh Danoff told the TAB, "and when we got word about the Wulf's spot, it really seemed like such a perfect place."
The new shop will seat 13 and operate between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. While dough and glazes will be made offsite, items sold at the new location will be fried and baked onsite. Stay tuned for an opening date.
