A new North Shore restaurant is on the brink of opening. Mission on the Bay in Swampscott is now hiring managers and both front- and back-of-house employees, per a post on Craigslist.

Mission on the Bay, located at 141 Humphrey St. on the former site of Red Rock Bistro, will feature ocean views and a lineup of classic New England fare — a mix of seafood appetizers and entrees, some pastas, sandwiches, and brunch.

The restaurant is the work of noted restaurateur Martin Bloom, who founded the Italian chain Vinny T's, as previously reported. He and his partners Robert Hoffman and Wellington Augusto, who co-own Mission Oak Grill in Newburyport, named this new restaurant to pay homage to that restaurant.

Mission on the Bay has its future menu posted on its website and has been updating its Facebook page with photos of the interior coming together.

There will also be an upper deck to showcase those prime views, and a selected menu will be served there. When it opens, the restaurant will operate from 4-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 4-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Brunch will also be available on weekends from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
