A popular brewery in Everett plans to start a new construction project any day now, adding an expansive space to accommodate more beer-loving crowds. Night Shift Brewing has acquired some warehouse space adjacent to its existing taproom at 87 Santilli Hwy., and the team will convert this additional 2,300 square feet into a second bar with room for special events.
With space for an additional 180 people, Night Shift will be able to host things like weddings, birthday parties, and the casual Friday night crowds with a little more breathing room. The extra taproom can either be open to the existing space or closed off for privacy. According to Boston Magazine, the second bar will have 24 tap lines and additional restrooms.
The brewery could break ground within the next week, and current construction timelines target a mid-July or August opening, leaving plenty of room for visitors to enjoy some outdoor beer weather. Night Shift has been working with Stack + Co. on the design for the space. A rep from the brewery said that they did not expect the construction to impact regular business hours.
This expansion comes as Night Shift prepares to up its production volume to accommodate increased demand for its beer and for those coveted seats in its taproom.
