SOMERVILLE — Andy Husbands' barbecue heaven, The Smoke Shop, is now aiming for a late May or early June opening in Cambridge's Kendall Square. But first, get a sneak peek at a pop-up hosted by The Kirkland Tap & Trotter on April 25. The ticket ($69.57) includes a couple of Whistle Pig cocktails and a barbecue feast that includes family-style ribs in multiple styles, cornbread, and other treats.

KENDALL SQUARE — And back in The Smoke Shop's future neighborhood, Study is taking advantage of its days off to host a few Sunday and Monday pop-ups this month. Company Picnic (Bronwyn alums Andrew Brady and Sara Markey) will be onsite on Monday, March 14 to serve up a chicken dinner featuring Stillman Farm poultry. The ticket ($64.29) also includes hors d'oeuvres, and there will be a cash bar for beer and wine. Then, on March 20 and March 21, the Kulinarya team will bring its Filipino-American dinner series, Pamangan, to Study. There will be a five-course tasting menu on Sunday night ($60; tickets here), followed by an a la carte cocktail and tapas menu later that night. Monday will feature lunch options, to be eaten at Study or to go.

EAST BOSTON — Reminder: Popular Indonesian pop-up Kaki Lima returns for another residency at KO Pies beginning on March 13. It'll run from noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays going forward; note that this a change from the previous schedule.
